Taiwan – May 12, 2016 – Taiwan Hitachi and Johnson Controls’ Building Efficiency held a signing ceremony to collaborate on delivering YORK® Centrifugal Chiller in Taiwan.

In October 2015, Johnson Controls, Hitachi, Ltd. and Hitachi Appliances, Inc. completed a global joint venture agreement to commence operations of Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning to provide global customers with a full range of world class air conditioning products and technology. For building owners in Taiwan, this cooperation will bring more product options to building owners to help address an increasing demand for more energy efficient building technologies due to current local energy savings regulation.

YORK Centrifugal Chiller is certified by The Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI). The product has the latest standard ARI 550/590 and 551/591, and introducing environmentally friendly refrigerant R134a, as well as configuring the variable frequency drive which describes the equipment to self-adjustment, those functions significantly enhance the units ’effectiveness and energy conservation. Furthermore, we will be able to provide simplified designed, reduced surface area, and using a few required connectors and wirings, and all those improvements enable users to save installation cost.
